I am a female Rottweiler and approimately one year old. I guess you could say I adopted my family. Someone ( only I know who ! ) left me in a fenced yard one day. More people came later...they were sure surprised when I came around the side of the house ! That's how I came to live with Barbara, Al and their pesky ( but loveable !) Schipperkes, Jake - a Border Collie type dog ( Jake was a stray who adopted Al and Barbara too !) and "Peanut" a Daschund/Chihuahua. I live in Valdosta, Ga. with Barbara, Al,"Tovah" the Rottie "Barking Buddy", a swarm of Schipperkes, a Chow-Shepherd named "Bunky", a Border Collie named "Jake" and a new arrival to the family - an adopted 6 month old Toy Poodle named "Buche'" ( which is the French word for "mouth"--he is VERY talkative !) I used to live next door, but spent so much time here I decided to change my address ! I have a self-appointed job. I "guard" the bed in the master bedroom ALL DAY so that when Al and Barbara come home from a hard days' work they will always have a place to sleep!
