Sarla is 8 years old, our first malamute, She came to us from a farm property in the hills east of Perth, where she was allowed to run loose.
She was responsible for chasing livestock. Sarla needed a new home, we got her at the age of 18 months, and took obedience training very seriously after that day, as Sarla was out of control. After 12 months of obedience training, she was titled with her C.D. (Companion Dog) title.
In fact she was the first Alaskan Malamute to obtain an obedience title in Western Australia, She went on to get her show title as well, making her the first malamute to be dual titled as well. From this day on we were flooded with obedience enquiries, thus the reason for us starting Mukluks Alaskan Malamute Obedience School.
Sarla is now heavily involved with Therapy Dogs Australia, where she is called upon to help sick or elderly people in homes, hostels & hospitals.
