Phoebe is a three year old tri-colour Shetland Sheepdog who lives with me in Coominya, Qld. Phee 'adopted' me when my other Sheltie Deena died earlier this year. The morning that Dee died, Phee jumped on my lap as if to say "I'm going to be your dog". Luckily my mother let me have her!
Phee is a very affectionate dog who nudges her head under my hand if she doesn't think she's had enough cuddles. When she gets excited she yips and runs around in circles. In her quiet times she is happy to lie down and keep me company while I am working or resting.
She has a habit of lying in the same place on the floor, which she paws at before settling down. She enjoys relaxing by lying on her back, with her feet in the air and her head extended back, displaying her teeth just like she's grinning. In her sleep she occasionally howls and makes funny little noises.
We have been training for about three months now and are up to dumbbell work and retrieving UD articles. We have been in one novice sweepstake trial, and came third in our ring although not with enough points for a sweepstake pass. Our next trial is in October, hopefully it wont be wet this time!
