The Chihuahua is named after the Mexican state of Chihuahua and the smallest breed in the world.

Coat: commonly short haired but there is a long haired type.

Weight: 1 - 3 kg.

Height: about 15 - 25 cm.

The Chihuahua makes a great companion dog. They become very close to the owner, because of this they require careful training to avoid agressivness to other people and dogs.
